Devil's Head Lookout
So, this used to be one of the best hikes along the Front Range....until they closed the lookout and stairs for safety concerns in 2019. The question that remains is whether or not they will re-open. Because, frankly, without being able to go tup to the lookout, this hike is cool, but not amazing. The views on the way up are great, but the view from the lookout on a clear day is phenomenal.

The Hike:
The trailhead begins (Trail #611) at the picnic area by the the Devil's Head Campground. The 1.4 mile trail meanders up the ridge and never really goes past a moderate steepness. There are some great overlooks along the way that you will want to stop at to get some sneak peaks at the view that awaits you. The trail hits a few switchbacks before you go through some cool rock formations in a very Lord of the Rings moment and then you open up into this amazing meadow right below the lookout.
