A good marinara sauce is a versatile companion to many dishes, hence, it gets its own recipe page. We love this sauce. It's bright, tasty, and can be eaten as is with a spoon when it's warm. We pick fresh basil off out of our little garden whenever we make it. We use this sauce on our homemade pasta, cheese ravioli, spiral cut vegetables, and in our deep dish pizza. You can cook up some meat and use it for a meat sauce if you need a little more protein. You can double the recipe and freeze the left overs so you have sauce when you need it most.
