Pancake Rocks and Horsethief Falls
These two hikes are usually done together but can certainly be done separately. Since you likely drove a little ways to get here, it's nice to do both and make use of that drive time. Since water is so scarce in Colorado, it seems like anytime there's a possibility of seeing a waterfall, you should take advantage of it. The rocks are fun to play and climb on, just be sure to watch the little ones!

The Hike:
From the parking area, head up the horse thief park trail (#704) for about 0.7 miles. If hitting the falls first, continue straight. It's about 1.4 miles to the falls and 639 feet of elevation gain. The grade is steady and moderate. Once done at the falls, head back down and take a left on trail #704A toward Pancake Rocks. You will hit some switch backs early on and then it meanders along the ridge line to the rocks. Have fun and have some pancakes!
