Diamond Head
Living in Colorado, I feel very mortal when I hike. But when I get to lower elevation, I feel like superman. To celebrate, I really enjoy running from Waikiki to the top of Diamond Head. It's a gentle climb to the state monument, and then the hike up the trail and stairs is a little under a mile. I just love it. On the way back, I usually get a smoothie bowl and then sit by the beach. I love Hawaii.
One thing to note is that you have to buy a ticket to go up the trail, from a kiosk, so make sure you have a credit card or enough cash to ask the nice people from Australia who are in front of you to buy you a ticket. |
